Data Deletion Instructions

You can request permanent deletion of your CRIYO AI account and all data associated with it at any time, for any reason, without giving a justification.

Every deletion request is completed within 30 days of receipt. You receive a confirmation email when it is done.

1. Your Right to Deletion

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), the GDPR and UK GDPR where they apply, and Meta's Platform Terms, you have the right to have your personal data erased. CRIYO AI honours this right for every user, in every country, regardless of plan or payment status.

2. How to Request Deletion

2.1 Delete from inside CRIYO AI (recommended)

1. Log in at app.criyo.ai
2. Go to Settings, then Account
3. Scroll to Danger Zone and click Delete My Account
4. Type your email address to confirm, then submit

Your account is deactivated and marked for permanent deletion immediately. You are signed out of all devices and your Instagram access tokens are revoked on the spot.

2.2 Email us

If you cannot log in:

• To: support@criyo.ai
• Subject: Delete My Account
• Include: the email address on your CRIYO AI account, and your Instagram handle if one is connected

Send the request from your registered email address where possible, as it lets us verify you faster. We verify every request before deleting anything, so that nobody can delete your account on your behalf.

2.3 Disconnect Instagram only

If you want to remove your Instagram data but keep your CRIYO AI account:

1. Log in to CRIYO AI
2. Go to Settings, then Instagram Connection
3. Click Disconnect Account

Access tokens are revoked immediately and all Instagram related data is deleted within 30 days. Your account, billing records, and other data remain.

2.4 Revoke access from Instagram

You can also cut off our access from Meta's side:

1. Open Instagram
2. Go to Settings, then Apps and Websites, then Active
3. Find CRIYO AI and click Remove

This revokes our API access immediately. Note that this removes the Instagram connection only. To delete your CRIYO AI account itself, use Section 2.1 or 2.2.

3. What Gets Permanently Deleted

Deletion is applied across our production databases, file storage, search indexes, and backups. Third party processors listed in our Privacy Policy are instructed to delete their copies within the same window.

4. What We Must Keep

A small amount of data survives deletion, only where the law requires it. It is never used for marketing or profiling.

5. Before You Delete

We recommend you first:

• Export your data. Download your leads and CRM records while you still have access, if your plan includes the Leads CRM.
• Note your active automations. Every live automation stops the moment your account is deactivated.
• Check your bio page links. CRIYO AI hosted bio pages and resource links stop resolving once deletion begins.
• Understand your billing. Any active subscription is cancelled and will not renew. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund of the current term. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy at criyo.ai/refund.

If you only want to pause, you do not need to delete. Cancel your subscription instead, or disconnect Instagram from Settings, and your account stays intact.

6. Deletion Requests Received Through Meta

If you remove CRIYO AI from your Instagram or Facebook settings, our access is revoked immediately and any Platform Data we hold is deleted within 30 days, as described in Section 2.4.

If a deletion request reaches us through Meta on your behalf, we identify and locate all associated data, delete it within 30 days, and confirm completion.

Requests that arrive this way are answered immediately with a confirmation code and a link to a status page. You can open that link at any time to see whether the request is still in progress or complete, and the deadline we are working to. The page stays reachable after the deletion finishes, so the confirmation code remains your receipt.

A status of Completed — we held no Instagram data for this account is a normal outcome, not an error. It means the lookup found nothing to erase, either because the data had already been removed or because that account was never connected to CRIYO AI.

7. Changing Your Mind

There is a 30 day grace period between your request and irreversible deletion. If you change your mind, email support@criyo.ai from your registered address as soon as possible and we will attempt to halt the process.

We cannot guarantee recovery. Some data, including access tokens and sessions, is destroyed immediately and cannot be restored.

After 30 days the request is final. You are welcome to sign up again, but it will be a new, empty account.

8. How We Confirm Deletion

When your deletion is complete:

• You receive a confirmation email at the address on file
• Your account no longer exists in our systems and login attempts will fail
• Your Instagram account no longer lists CRIYO AI as a connected app

9. If You Are Not a CRIYO AI User

If your details were captured as a lead by someone who uses CRIYO AI, you can still ask us to erase them. Email support@criyo.ai with the phone number, email address, or Instagram handle used, and we will remove your record and instruct the CRIYO AI user who collected it to do the same.

Please note that the CRIYO AI user who collected your details is the Data Fiduciary for that data. You may also contact them directly.

10. Your Other Privacy Rights

Deletion is one of several rights you hold. You can also access, correct, and export your data, and object to certain processing. These are described in our Privacy Policy at criyo.ai/privacy and our DPDP Act Compliance Statement at criyo.ai/dpdp-compliance.
